HMG Systems Engineering GmbH was chosen as one of the TOP 100 most innovative SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) in Germany. Top 100 Innovator 2016 - HMG Systems Engineering GmbH

Ranga Yogeshwar, “TOP 100” mentor, honored HMG during the German “Mittelstands-Gipfel” (SMEs Summit) on 24th June in Essen.

TOP 100 has been established for more than 20 years and is the only contest for innovation management in Germany. Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke of the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration is responsible for the scientific management of the project.

The competition attacts more than 4,000 companies every year. All German SMEs are eligible to take part in the competition and are divided into 3 size groups. Each size group consists of no more than 100 companies. This year, 366 companies applied for the qualification round and 238 made it to one of the three size groups of the TOP 100.

HMG convinced the jury with an innovative management and innovative processes.

Every day, the team meets for a so called acute meeting, a meeting no longer than 30 minutes which is attended by all team members to discuss possible problems and solutions. After the meeting, the decision is being implemented right away. The management is always open to new ideas. Additionally, all employees are encouraged to go on an advanced training every year.

HMG uses a very special method of analysis – the Functional Anatomy method – which is based on use cases, to optimize the developmental process and eliminate redundant elements. This method has been realized successfully with all innovations (customers’ projects and HMG’s own product development) in the planned time frame and with the planned budget.
